Learning to see

Fred has taught in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine since 2022 — first with Développement communautaire Unîle, then for the Municipality of the Islands, which organises and funds the workshops.

Workshops covering observational drawing through to acrylic painting.

It all starts in the same place: looking before marking. Reading proportions, settling on a composition, catching a contrast of light and shadow.
