L'Île d'Entrée
22 paintings, one island. The one you see from the other islands and reach only by boat. A whole year devoted to this island in 2026 — at dawn, in the fog, through the porthole, and all the way into comics.

The artist
Denis Fréchette, known as FRED
He has lived in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine since 2016 and paints at home. His practice comes down to one word: colour — making music of it, drawing an emotion from it. He also teaches drawing and painting in the Islands.
